Guidelines for NCAA Signing Days 
2025-2026

NCAA Signing Day is the period of time in which athletes who have verbal offers from college coaches will make their athletic scholarships official by signing their National Letter of Intent.  To celebrate our student-athletes who will be continuing their athletic careers in college, Grosse Pointe North has created guidelines for signing day.  We have attempted to align our dates with the official NCAA signing periods, which coordinate with the National Letter of Intent (NLI) program.  

College Signing Day Protocol
Signing days will be hosted by the Athletic Department three times this school year to celebrate athletes that have agreed to continue their careers in college in a particular sport.  

2025-2026 Dates
The dates this year will be 
Wednesday, November 12, 2025
Tuesday, February 24, 2026
Wednesday, April 15, 2026
Wednesday, May 13, 2026

The events will begin at 3:20 pm in the library with 10 minute scheduled times assigned through the athletic office.  If the number of athletes warrants, we may move the event to an alternate location and notify the family and athletes at that time.

General Guidelines
1.  Coaches, parents, or student athletes are to inform the Athletic Office of student athletes that  
      wish to be recognized.
     a) Please communicate the name, sport, and college to Teresa Bennett at bennett@gpschools.org. 
         At that time you will receive your time. 

2.  The Athletic Office will notify local media of the date and time of the ceremony.  We will share 
       signing day photographs and information with the local media if they are unable to attend. 
       Building Administrators will also be invited.

3.  The Athletic Office will prepare the location of the events.

Responsibility of the Coach
1.  Assist the athletic office by informing us of any athletes you are aware will be committing with a 
      minimum of seven days in advance of the signing day.
